Family Commitment
Welcome to NCA’s Summer School. Together, we seek to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a love of learning. By signing this agreement, both parents and students affirm their commitment to creating a respectful, joyful, and orderly learning community.

Student Expectations
As a student, I agree to:
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn.
- Listen respectfully when teachers or classmates are speaking.
- Use courteous language and demonstrate good manners at all times.
- Treat every person with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Care for classrooms, books, materials, costumes, and school property.
- Participate fully, ask thoughtful questions, and give my best effort.
- Accept corrections graciously and strive to improve.
- Resolve disagreements peacefully and seek help from an adult when needed.
- Keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself unless instructed otherwise.
- Represent the school with integrity both on and off campus during school activities.
Parent Expectations
As a parent or guardian, I agree to:
- Support the mission and values of the summer school.
- Ensure my child arrives on time, prepared each day, and is picked up promptly.
- Communicate respectfully with faculty, staff, volunteers, and other families.
- Encourage my child to complete assignments and participate fully.
- Reinforce respectful behavior and good character at home.
- Address concerns privately and constructively with school staff.
- Model courtesy, patience, and integrity in all interactions.
- Help foster a welcoming community for every family.
Community Expectations
Together, we will:
- Encourage one another with words that build up rather than tear down.
- Welcome new students and families with kindness.
- Celebrate effort, growth, and excellence.
- Respect differences of opinion while maintaining civility.
- Protect the physical and emotional safety of every member of our community.
- Leave classrooms and shared spaces cleaner than we found them.
Technology
To support attentive learning:
- Electronic devices should remain silenced and put away unless specifically requested by an instructor.
- Students may not use phones, smart watches, or other devices during class without permission.
- Parents are asked to minimize interruptions during instructional time except in emergencies.
Dress
Students should wear clothing that is neat, modest, comfortable, and appropriate for active participation in classes, drama activities, and outdoor play. This includes shoes that are closed toed.
Consequences:
Failure to comply with any of the above mentioned expectations will result in parent notification and may be removed from the class.
